Will Santa Find Us at Terrace Hill?By FIRST LADY MARI CULVER March 27, 2008 The Governor and I began hearing this question right around Thanksgiving. Clare, 6,
and John, 5, spent the better part of the two weeks worried about whether Santa would find them and whether he would know which of the three chimneys at Terrace Hill to
come down on Christmas Eve. After many drafts of Christmas lists among their requests were a diary for Clare and a Transformer for John and many discussions with them, the Governor and I tried to reassure them that Santa knows where they live and, yes, would be able to find them at their new house.
It wasnt until the children were at the Capitol to help decorate the trees in the Governor and Lt. Governors offices that their fears were laid to rest. You see, Santa was at the Capitol spreading holiday cheer! The kids approached him to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. His eyes twinkled as he leaned down and whispered into their ears, I know that you moved to Terrace Hill, and its been a long time since I stopped at Terrace Hill. I cant wait to come to your new house because youve both been so good this year!
The Governor and I love Santa, and true to his word, Santa found the right chimney at Terrace Hill. The Culver family’s first Christmas was wonderful and one the kids (and we) will never forget.
