Let the Good Times Roll! Mardi Gras: February 20, 2010September 10, 2009 The success of last year’s initial collaborative fundraiser for Terrace Hill, Hoyt Sherman Place and Salisbury House has led the three historic homes to one conclusion: Mardi Gras 2010.
The 2009 fundraiser netted each house approximately $25,000. Equally important, the community and underwriters responded enthusiastically to the idea of one signature event for the benefit of all three.
The date is set for February 20, 2010. The red-hot New Orleans Radiators will rock the house at the Hoyt Sherman Place concert the center piece of the Mardi Gras event.
Mardi Gras will begin with authentic New Orleans food and drinks at Terrace Hill and Salisbury House. Guests will be chauffeured door-to-door to Hoyt Sherman Place for an open bar, coronation of the new king and queen, and dance-concert. After the concert, guests will be treated to a lavish, late-night, New Orleans-style breakfast. In addition to the VIP-treatment gala event, concert only tickets will also be available.
If the revelers are like last years guests, they will come in high spirits, disguised with feathered masks, with Mardi Gras beads, and with the intention of turning the mid-winter date into one hot night.
