New Foundation Development Assistant

Karen Engel, a Drake University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in education, joined the development staff of the Foundation on August 3, 2009. She worked as a substitute teacher at Saint Augustin School for nine years and served 12 years as a flight attendant and emergency procedure training instructor for American Airlines. Engel is a member of the Saint Augustin Board of Education and was active in fundraising for the school. As auction co-chair, she helped raise more than $90,000 for the school.
