New Name, New Merchandise at The Carriage House at Terrace Hill

The fresh new look of the gift shop was showcased to the public at a grand opening of The Carriage House at Terrace Hill July 12 17. The new, extended gift shop hours are Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Special events were scheduled during the grand opening, including china painting demonstrations and book signings.

The shops new merchandise includes books with an Iowa focus, First Lady private-label tea, local china painter Sandy Gookins hand-painted creations, and chocolate-framed images of Terrace Hill. In addition to showcasing Iowa products, many of the new gifts, art and books highlight Victorian and tearoom themes.
