Tour Info
Terrace Hill is a hub of activity. On most days, yellow school buses filled with eager students line the red-brick street outside the entrance to Terrace Hill.
Groups of visitors gather in the Carriage House Welcome Center for orientation before they begin the guided tour. In the Carriage House, they enjoy important permanent and unique changing exhibits. Here, too, they learn about upcoming events at Terrace Hill.
The Carriage House is interesting in its own right. It houses a new, permanent Hubbell Family display and periodically changing exhibits. Recent past exhibits have included "Portraits and Penmanship of Presidents," "Flow Blue" Ware Collection, and "The Art of Needlework Tools."
Guided tours of Terrace Hill generally last between 45 minutes and an hour, beginning on the hour and half hour between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, from March through December.
